Recently, there were two controversies about sanitary. On July 15th, Food Journal news reported that Gaunuri was inspected to have more than 1,200 germs and 25.4mg/L potassium permanganate which is harmful numerical value to people. However, Gaunuri requested reexamination, suspecting cross-infection, which is caused by crossing some instruments and found out that there are no germs. Furthermore, the amount of potassium permanganate is less than the limit.
On August 25th, the steering College Operation Committee of College of Social Science asked Gaunuri to make public of the result of reexamination, current station, and further responds. Gaunuri proceeded administrative procedure against Jung-gu office based on the inspection result and Jung-gu office corrected their previous judgement. Also, Gaunuri promised to maintain the clean condition and take care of water filter. Fortunately, Gaunuri Case ended up as a happening.
Meanwhile terrible cleanliness of Namsan Residence Hall was hot topic on Everytime, which is the famous community of Dongguk University. Not only the sanitary but also the attitude of administrative personnel against hosteller’s complaints was matter. Complaints of students were steadily uploaded at the community and they ended up to be reported to Student Council.
On August 28th, Student council had a face-to-face talk with Namsan Residence Hall Administration. Administer apologized to hostellers for not notifying the delay of plumbing and insufficient cleaning. Also they apologized for delayed response to complaints of students and insufficient communication. They promised to become more careful and active.
Taking this opportunity, the Student Council made Hot-line which connects complainants-Student Council-Administration department so that they can deal with complaints of hostellers immediately. Since hostellers actively demanded Namsan Residence Hall’s improved environment, new way for communication could be created. Considering these, both were ended well since each counterpart reacted immediately.
