The Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office has recruited university students and civic groups as mentors for “Blue Manito” along with the Hope Foundation for Youth. Blue Manito listens to the pain of a juvenile offender and leads them to a better way like older brothers and sisters. It is a combination of “Blue,” a color symbolizing youth, and “Manito,” an Italian word for secret friend. The advertisement for a mentor program has been posted on the notice of the College of Police Administration. Donggukians regardless of one’s major, who are interested in this program, can sign up next year.
