On March 22nd, there was a talk concert hosted by the Donggukian Union. It started with the performance by Cherry Blossom Ending Campaign Team, which consists of students from the College of Education for Solving the Problem of Supplementing Cleaning Workers of Dongguk University. An Hyun-ju, the vice-president of the College of Education, stated, “The students in the College of Education felt inconvenience, so we wanted to know what caused the cleaning workers to do a strike. After staying with them, we noticed that we have to take action, and be with them. So as the talk concert was on Thursday, we decided to be part of it as doing our own performance.”

After Cherry Blossom Ending Campaign Team’s performance, the talk concert with the cleaning workers followed. Several subjects, including the ongoing strike, their demand, and doubts that students had were discussed in the talk concert. They spoke about the settlement made on 21st of March. According to several media, the president Han Tae-sik (Bogwang) decided to employ the cleaning workers directly. On the other hand, the workers say not it is not true. They asserted that they will still occupy the Main Hall of Dongguk University to continue the strike.
Additionally, they have talked about the doubt raised by some students. Some students were wondering whether the cleaning workers actually scattered waste paper or not. One of the cleaning workers commented that in order to keep the meaning of the strike, they had to do it. They clarified that they only did to those when the faculties tried to clean up the mess. They said they will try their best to recover school’s environment.
Furthermore, Choi So-yeon, a student from the College of Social Science, made a supportive speech. She said, “As I am in the upper grade, I have seen a lot of cleaning workers working so hard. I wished to see the cleaning workers be directly employed by the school before I graduate from the school.” She added, “Due to cleaning workers, we were able to study in the clean environment. But, it was sad to see students not paying much interest in the strike.”
After the talk concert proceeded for about an hour, they had time to enjoy hot drinks and some snacks inside the Main Hall.
