To be honest, I never thought I would be able to make my opportunity to write my own “debut essay.” I remember my first time writing an article, which was about the national examinations. That week was probably the toughest week I have ever had in my university life. I told every single person I know that I might have to quit the Post. I even asked a lot of people for a “counseling session.” It was the moment I had to push myself to the extreme. I have met another myself. I once thought continuing this job could really change my personality. However, with those who cheered me up, especially my colleagues in the Post, I was just able to safely finish all my work.
Now, somehow I got to make my debut. As a result, the week that I suffered the most was not that bad for me. It made me ponder about how it is to be a reporter. Although still insufficient, I have got to know how to write a decent essay. So, I could say it was a pretty new experience. At this point, I feel more responsibility. I felt pressure while I was writing my first article. I felt that just one article can change someone’s life entirely. Its influence was bigger than I thought. The journey of continuing the life of The Dongguk Post might be tough. However, since I decided to continue with this duty, I would like to try my best and write prudent articles. I do not know who else can make it to the end, but until that time, I hope everybody is not stressed and stay chill while not writing articles. I hope the Post, while we are not working, can be a place just to stop by for the free period to have a cup of tea. Furthermore, I want to take this opportunity to thank my people that without them, I would not have been able to write something called a “debut essay.”
