On the second day of Dongguk University Festival, on May 23rd at 4:00 P.M., the QUD, a school club for sexual minorities in Dongguk, went on a march with the General Coed Student Council (GCSC) for sexual minorities. This parade was to promote the human rights of the sexual minorities and to speak up for them.
At the opening of the parade, Sung Im-eun, the chairperson of the GCSC, said “In this society with a dichotomous view towards gender, which does not accept that different genders to coexist, the discrimination, hatred, and violence against the sexual minorities are happening at any time.” She added, “I stand here in the hope of Dongguk University, the media, and this country being filled with gender equality.”
They marched down the campus starting from the Myeongjin Hall, going all around the school campus. As they marched, they continued to assert for the promotion of the human rights of the sexual minorities.
