   On November 10th, from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M., “Night of Sponsorship” was held at Grand Ambassador Hotel. It was an event aimed to raise contribution to develop Dongguk University.

   In the beginning, President Han Tae-sik (Bogwang) made a welcoming speech to introduce Dongguk University’s development in various areas such as research capability, founding startup, and result of national examinations. He said, “I have a plan to raise donation up to 110 billion won until 2020. Also, I hope Dongguk University to be ranked in the 10th place in Korea and in the 300th place in the world.”

   Guests from all walks of life attended the event. Jeong Se-gyun, the chairman of the National Assembly, said, “I believe that Dongguk could achieve everything if 300 thousand alumni of the school cooperate with one another.” Then, Lee Gwan-je, the head of University Relations & Development, introduced a new campaign “Brand New Dongguk,” which includes founding two new buildings and purchasing a baseball stadium.

   Then, having dinner, alumni of Dongguk University in the hall saw performances from three graduates and they wrote donation contract form. Then, the hosts announced people who donated to the school to reach over 24 billion won. Jeon Young-hwa, the president of the General Alumni Union, said, “I believe that the sponsorship from us can make Dongguk a prestigious private institution.”
