   On November 2nd, the assembly proclamation ceremony of Nationwide university students was held at Gwanghwamun Sewol Ferry Square, calling for Park Geun-hye administration’s resignation. The General Student Council (GSC) of Dongguk University also participated in the ceremony.

   Participants recited the declaration from 40 universities including Dongguk University and 17 more groups, saying that the government has been seized by a shadow ruler, Choi Soon-sil, and President Park tried hard to keep her acquaintances’ requests, not that of ation’s. Also, they said that the corruption has influenced Sewol ferry incident, the problem in Ewha Womans University and so on. With regard to these reasons, they argued that Park Geun-hye should resign.

   An Dre, the chairperson of the GSC of Dongguk University, said, “I believe that students who take actions can make the whole country stable and resolve the problems. Moreover, the actions from universities to keep our rights will spread out.”

   There was also a joint comment by Jang Eun-ha, the chairperson of 416 University Students Solidarity, an organization asking for investigation of the Sewol Ferry Incident. Jang said, “I realized why the government had blocked reasonable request investigating for the Sewol Ferry Incident after wising up to the current administration which was monopolized by a shadow ruler.” She added, “To reveal the truth, Park Geun-hye and other politicians regarding the current situation should leave from their positions.”

   An Dre showed, cultural festivals will be held at each university's campus on November 3rd and there will be declarations by regional groups on November 5th. In addition, the public stand up concerning the current situation will be held on November 12th to continue the action.
