The Dongguk University Cooperative (DUC) plans to remodel Sanglokwon. Its kitchens are located in the middle of the restaurant and this creates a lot of noise and hectic situation. To solve this problem, the kitchen structure will be changed. Also to improve the quality of its foods, more various choices will be added to the menu.
The snack bar is on the first floor under direct management of the DUC. Its menu will not be changed that much. Some sections of the first floor will be rented to popular food stores like Baskin Robbins for ice cream. There also will be a bakery, a coffee shop, roll and pasta store and so on.
The school cafeteria will be located on the second floor and managed by the DUC. The menu will be diversified: soup and bibimbap, and a hot plate stir-fried rice. The third floor will be a ethnic food court offering Korean, Chinese, and Japanese foods.
The construction will begin on June 22nd, the beginning of the summer vacation, and will be finished on September 3rd, the first day of the next semester.
