On the last day of March at 06:00 P.M., the General Student Council (GSC) fixed two events at the Cultural Revolution Seminar room. The meeting was organized by the bereaved family of Sewol ferry incident and a lecture by the Human Rights Campaign Sarangbang.

The occasion started with a silent prayer for the casualty of Sewol ferry incident. Then, the GSC showed videos to commemorate the memory of the tragic accident including the one that was filmed by bereaved families. The family who attended this day were the parents of Moon Ji-sung, the victimized sophomore student from Danwon high school. They shared their memory of the tragic incident with Donggukians. Mr. Moon who is well-known as Moon’s father said, “You should know it was not only an accident but a new concept of creative massacre which I’ve named after President Park’s creative economy.”

Meanwhile, the lecture from Miryu, the standing activist of Human Rights Campaign Sarangbang, lectured about “Two Years from Sewol Ferry Incident: Listen, Ask and Speak.” She described the condition at that time when the ferry went down, exclaimed that nobody tried to take responsibility, and insisted that we should not forget April 16th, 2014. She said, “The select committee of inquiry will be dissolved in this May. Yet, there have been only two hearings held and nothing has been revealed. I hope for people to participate in the signature campaign for the maintenance of the committee.”
