Reason to Stay

No matter how small it seems, everything has its reasons. However, it is very strange that I did not have any specific reason to why I joined the Post and still work as a reporter here. I found my reason of staying here, while I was thinking what to write on my debut essay. I tried to think back over every step I took from the start until now and finally found the reasons I took each step. At first, it was my friend who led me here, but from then on, it was myself who stayed even though it was difficult for me to live as a student and a reporter at the same time. I was very curious at this point because before, I had never have done things that I do not like such as difficult and tired things. But in the case of the Post, it is very special how I am staying in this organization despite it being full of hardships. Then I thought of my first article I wrote. It was about the integration of majors with low employment rates, but how the school handled the process was very unfair in my point of view. Unfairly handled process made me very furious, showing me how weak we are as students. I figured out that this was my reason for staying, and I will do my best to report as fairly as possible, so that the weak can be protected and the ones who have power cannot abuse it on the weak.
