by Gerd Mjoen Brantenberg
This book contains a story of the imaginary world where women dominate the society. In Egalia, the imagined world of this book, every role of men and women is switched. Such background set-up makes readers focus on the gender role and present the issue of female, childbirth, and sexual discrimination, which are problems existing in the real world.
by Kim Si-eon
This collection of poems is Kim Si-eon’s the first book of poetry. Poems in this book are similar to the people poem of 1980’s in Korea, which did not give up the optimistic view in the oppressive reality. They have a realistic depict of joys and sorrows non-regular workers, such as interns and small-scale businessman.
