The Central Library plans to make places for students to do their team projects inside the Buddhist Materials Room during the upcoming winter. Classics where the antique books are kept will be moved to the first floor. Many general plans exist to fill the empty place. Study rooms of various sizes, equipped with white boards, will be added. They will be in the form of both opened and closed rooms. There will be also presentation rooms for conferences. Projectors will be installed in them. Additionally, carrels will be installed. A carrel is an individual area where people can work without being disturbed. It will be mostly operated for professors or graduate students. They can register for the usage of the carrels at the beginning of each semester. The duration period for each carrel will be from three to six months. With the addition of group-study rooms, some extra facilities will be installed. The copying room on the third floor will be set up in consideration of the construction. Standing computers will be installed in the copying room. A call room, where students can make phone calls, will also be installed.
