The renovation of Wonheung Hall started after the completion of the New Engineering Building which was finished at the end of September. This renovation focused on getting spaces for professors' laboratory and for preparation to get certificates from KAAB (Korean Architectural Accrediting Board). Before the construction, students and professors had many problems. Students experienced inconveniences moving all over the campus and professors had problems sharing laboratories. Kim Youn-soo, the manager of the Administration Office at the College of Engineering, said that one Mechanical Engineering professor bought machines which amounted to five hundred million won but he stored those at another university since there was no space. However, after the renovation all of these problems were solved. First of all, the lecture rooms which were all over the campus are now relocated in one building. Majors affiliated with information technology are using this new engineering building and majors affiliated with pure engineering are using Wonheung Hall. Also, professors now have their own laboratories and offices. Most of the rooms on the 5th and 6th floors of the Wonheung hall have been given to professors.
