From August 21st to 23rd, the Wonder Project was successfully conducted by Dongguk’s Employment Support Center. The Wonder Project is an educational program to help female college students gain confidence in finding a job, so that they can easily follow their dreams. The Employment Support Center advertised for junior and senior female students at Dongguk University to participate in this program. Wonder Project was held in the classroom in Singonghakwan 5141 for 3 days.
This project consisted of four areas of coaching Self Awareness, Self Development, Pushing the Limit & Planning, and Action & Achievement. In the lecture of self Awareness, woman students learned self leadership and talked about their role-model. Also, a lecturer discussed what kind of people that companies want to bring together are, and the true fact that experience is more important than spec. The second lecture about Self Development is about the search for self. For example, making some time to make themselves happy is valuable for students who are so busy that they did not have a time to look after themselves. More importantly, they learned how to write resume and a letter of self-introduction. Pushing the Limit & Planning mostly consisted of interview simulation session. In addition, image making is also great and fresh. Action & Achievement is for self-presentation. This time is important for students to differentiate themselves from other students. In fact, the present is the era of individuality and characters, so they should learn about expressing their personality and individuality.
Lee Kyung-jae, a staff of Employment Support Center, said, “We were surprised by ardent participation of students. More importantly, this program ended in great success. From now on, we will try to increase the size of this practical program. I hope that many more Dongguk students have a good opportunity in order to get a job.”
