The standard by which scholarships are awarded to students in the College of Buddhist Studies has changed because of a committee's on August 7th 2012. The committee decided to apply a new standard because state scholarships for university students were also applied. The state scholarship considers financial difficulties and the financial difficulties are divided by 10 grades from zero to ten. Before the standard change, students who wanted a scholarship were evaluated by their prior semester's average grade which was 90% in total and participation in other events which was 10% in total. However, with the standard change, students who want scholarships will be evaluated by their prior semester’s average grade for 90%. Participation will be worth 7% and financial difficulties will be worth an additional 3% in total. The new standard will be applied beginning the first semester of 2013. The application period for the scholarship will be from 2012 August 27th (Monday) to September 7th (Friday). Students who want this scholarship must apply for the state scholarship so that the university scholarship center can thendivide the students into 10 groups by their financial difficulties. Also students need to apply for the university scholarship as well.
